Atisuto Launches New Café Concept at Mercato Shopping Mall

Atisuto StreetAtisuto Café offers the best of Japanese street food for dine in and takeaway.

Homegrown casual dining Japanese restaurant brand Atisuto is excited to announce the launch of its fifth outlet in Dubai – and its first Atisuto Café – at Mercato Shopping Mall on Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah.

Created by Silver Spoon Investments, Atisuto resembles the best of Japan’s hole-in-the-wall eateries, combining authentic Japanese food with western flavours to create a fun fusion that awakens the senses.

Meaning ‘artist’ in Japanese, Atisuto’s menu was designed by the restaurant’s Japanese master chefs and features indulgent dishes cooked to perfection using the finest ingredients, some of which are sourced directly from Japan.

The new Café concept has been purposefully designed to offer a taste of the Atisuto experience, and offers a condensed menu featuring some of Atisuto’s most popular dishes redesigned in smaller portions for busy shoppers to enjoy on the go. Highlights include Atisuto’s signature Ramen Noodles alongside sashimi, and a wide variety of Sushi and Maki made to order, all prepared with the Atisuto Tamashi’, or soul, and using only the freshest of ingredients. There will also be a selection of speciality bakery items, including Japanese cheese cake, melon pan, and matcha cake.

“Atisuto Café offers an authentic taste of Japan and provides a welcome respite for shoppers and residents looking for a brief escape,” said Chef Aijiro Shinoda, Brand Chef for Atisuto. “With prices ranging from AED 10-15 for starters, AED 20-35 for Sushi and Ramen, and AED 7-20 for desserts and bakery items, Atisuto Café is also very affordable, making it the perfect place to enjoy lunch on-the-go or to meet friends for a tasty snack.”

As with all its branches, Atisuto partnered with Mojo Interior Design to create a design for the new concept that retains the true spirit of the brand, with touches of Japanese art and culture at the forefront, including Shou sugi ban wood, which is charred with fire and finished with natural oil, used for café counter; and Noh masks, a key feature of every Atisuto outlet, hand carved from blocks of Japanese cypress and shipped from Japan.

Atisuto Café is open daily from 10am until 11pm daily.

Founded in Dubai in 2014, Atisuto is a casual dining restaurant brand specialising in Japanese cuisine that combines authentic Japanese ingredients and culinary techniques with modern influences from Western kitchens. Affordably priced and accessible with four locations across Dubai, Atisuto, meaning ‘artist’, brings the best of Japanese street food to the UAE. The Atisuto ‘Tamashi’, or soul, is ingrained in the food, people, service and ambience of Atisuto, with original Japanese art and graffiti sprawling the walls, and a modern funky interior design.

Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Atisuto is located at Al Ghurair Centre in Deira; Galleria Mall at City Walk, Al Wasl; Bay Square in Business Bay’ and Ibn Battuta Mall close to Jebel Ali Village. The branch at Ibn Battuta features Atisuto Bakery & Cafe alongside the restaurant, while Bay Square provides a central hub for delivery across Dubai.

Atisuto is the brainchild of Emirati businessman Salem Bin Dasmal, Founder of Silver Spoon Investments, who was inspired by the back-alley sushi restaurants of Japan and his love of LA’s take on modern Japanese dining. His vision is brought to life by Brand Chef Aijiro Shinoda, who has more than 40 years’ experience in both traditional Japanese cooking and classic French cuisine.
