Priced at a reasonable AED 89 per person (AED 49 for children under the age of 12), the Ramadan Iftar buffet at Zafran Indian Bistro in Mirdif City Center is a not-to-be-missed experience this Holy Month.
Wholesome but well-balanced, the buffet will leave guests, satisfied and nourished but not uncomfortable, according to Chef Gaurav Singh, Zafran’s Head of Culinary who carefully put together the Ramadan offering to exemplify the spirit of Ramadan.
Guests can break their fast with fruits and dates available on each table followed by a light lentil soup. The ample buffet, which will change on a daily basis throughout the month, will also include a variety of kebabs and popular Zafran starters as well as some of the Bistro’s signature curries including Butter Chicken, Dal Tadka and Chicken Biryani. The meal will end on a sweet note with desserts that include everything from Gulab Jamun and Umm Ali to a fresh fruit salad.
At its Dubai Marina restaurant, Zafran is serving an Iftar set menu also priced at AED 89 per person (AED 49 for kids).
Equally well balanced, the set menu features a hearty but light Dal Shorba as a first course followed by a selection of chicken and fish kebabs. For the vegetarians, the starters include Paneer Tikka and stuffed mushroom. Diners can break their fast with a choice from a list that includes Zafran’s signature main courses and accompaniments including the perennial favorites Chicken Tikka Masala, Fish Curry, Palak Paneer, Gobi Mutter and Dal Zafran. The sweet ending to the meal is Gulab Jamun with Rabdi, a traditional Indian dessert consisting of deep-fried cottage cheese dumplings in sugar syrup. Dates, fresh fruit and an Iftar drink will be provided for all guests along with Naan bread and rice.
“Ramadan is a time of reflection and family and there’s no better place to enjoy this time with your loved ones than at Zafran, where the cosy and inviting ambiance combines with exemplary service and a tastefully-crafted Iftar menu and buffet that satisfies but doesn’t overwhelm,” added Chef Gaurav.
The Ramadan menu/iftar buffet will be available throughout the Holy Month at Zafran Indian Bistro.
