The all-day dining restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi gives residents and tourists in the capital a reason to dine out every day of the week.
Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi has a completely new range of dining promotions at its award-winning all-day dining restaurant – Sofra bld – including complimentary access to the hotel’s private beach and pool on weekends.
A delicious brunch, prepared by two Michelin-star Executive Chef Mansour Memarian and his team, is available every Friday from 1pm until 4pm. There three packages on offer are AED 285* (soft beverages), AED 365* (standard alcohol package) and AED 495* (champagne package) – all inclusive of beach and pool access.
The all-new POET (Pay Once Eat Twice) promotion allows guests to dine at Sofra bld through two meal services at the price of one. The AED 250* package includes lunch from noon until 3pm, dinner from 6pm until 11pm, and complimentary access to the beach and pool which offers a panoramic view of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Available every Saturday, POET is the perfect opportunity to experience the delightful preparations from the Sofra bld kitchen, enjoy swimming in the Arabian waters and taking in the sunset before returning to the award-winning restaurant for a free dinner.
Every Monday, seafood lovers in the capital can enjoy a gastronomic treat for AED 215*. Sofra hosts Fish Tales from 6pm until 11pm, featuring an extravagant spread of seafood dishes including a display of the catch of the day which is often as big as a 50kg tuna carved live, and different kinds of lobsters, and fresh sashimi.
For the meat fanatics who know their cuts and grill preparations, The Butcher’s Block is a dinner to try. Hosted every Tuesday from 6pm until 11pm, this night is all about meats with a full butcher shop concept where diners can choose from 12 different cuts of meats from four countries – all for just for AED 200*. After choosing their preferred cut and size, guests can take their plate to the grilling station which will prepare the dish to your liking.
Executive Chef Mansour highlights the Middle Eastern dining culture of dishes served to share by hosting the Arabesque night every Wednesday from 6pm until 11pm. Specialties from across the region include Lebanese, Iranian and local delicacies. Moroccan dishes are a highlight of the lavish buffet spread available for AED 200*.
Surf & Turf night treats guests to the best of both worlds. The chefs put together a luxurious buffet spread with live stations featuring a butcher shop and the catch of the day – all with live carving. The night is all about having the freshest seafood and meats being prepared as requested. Guests can enjoy endless rounds of their favourite dishes from 6pm until 11pm every Thursday for AED 215*.
On Sundays, Sofra takes you on a culinary tour across India– from the street food of Mumbai and Calcutta to the traditional curries from the North and all the way to the signature rice-based dishes of the South. Served from 6pm until 11pm for AED200*, the Journey through India night is a great opportunity to understand the diverse tastes and preparation styles of Indian cuisine.
Sofra bld is open daily for lunch from noon until 3pm and for dinner from 6pm until 11pm. The Friday brunch, hosted from 1pm until 4pm, includes complimentary beach and pool access.
